Official QWIXOTIC Synopsis

McCain became President of the United States of America. North Korea launched Nuclear Weapons. The global recession of 2009 lasted 37 years. Kashmir was decimated by Pakistan. Mexico was annexed by America. The Democratic process was suspended in North America.

 

In North America, a temporary government was brought into power to deal with these various crises. It’s been decades. Known as The Server by those opposed to it, this ‘government’ consists of former bureaucrats and corporate executives appointed into power based on social status and influence. With little to no say in their own society, the people lash out.

 

Society is fractured into political organizations, religious communities, ethnic minorities, groups of people interested in their own agendas being priority… all struggling to have their voices heard.

 

Amidst all this there’s a girl who’s indifferent to it all. She doesn’t care who’s in power. She is used by those who oppose The Server; used for her, exotic abilities. But She just wants to be left alone. She lives only to satisfy her own basic instincts.

 

But one encounter snaps her back into the world of the living. The catalyst starts a chain reaction of memories and emotions that vaguely reveal her life, causing her to take notice of the world. Finally asking questions about her abilities and the presence of a consciousness not her own, she searches for a revelation that will explain why she is the way she is, the abuse she endured and the consequences of it all…

 

Her rampage to find out how she came to be takes her through the upper echelons of The Server as she finds out how much of her past is entangled with that of the imposing government. With everyone’s own agenda playing out in society, she’s able to enlist help and guidance from a conflicted Muslim Warrior, an impressionable youth who mistakes her for a hero and a guardian of her own, who not only knows… but is responsible.

 

A corporate government that rules based on anarchy; a people that struggle for a purpose; a girl who could care less, but is more crucial to the world around her then any of them can realize… The transformation of a pawn into a Vanguard is what QWIXOTIC becomes.
